THe Studio...a work in progress

Therese's Consultation Room and Waiting Room will situated at the front (this is the main street) I will have a darkroom and studio at the rear...right at the back will be a double carport ...access is from the side street....its a corner block

Diggin holes for the studio footings

Seeking some shade for "smoko"....I asked them if I could sit with them because .....my personality dosent allow me to make friends....they said yeah.....but then pointed to the otherside of the yard in the sun....and said" Over there".....THEY ALL read the newspapers at smoko....I knew someone must be buying that pulp

Formwork for the front landing of the Studio...This will be up 3 steps to Theres's waiting room.....a door will be made in the house (where those 2 shovels are) and this will lead from Therese/Marees office into the waiting room ....past a toilet (near that upright white post)...I* think we have done a fantastic job with the design....its so good to make something "purpose built"

Pouring footings for the studio

he he dave stepped back into a hole full of "mud" ( as we in the building trade call it) TWICE....thats the sort of trick I usually do....it was very very hot this day....these guys worked VERY HARD

there will be an enclosed deck wher the bare earth is...this will connect the studio to the house...this is the view from the back entry of the studio and house...there will be a landing.left into the studio....right into the house through the laundry to the kitchen

This is the studio and therese's rooms so far.....long way to go but it will be fantastic when its done....

PROGRESS at the back of the House

the back of the house prior to our "MODIFICATIONS".This area had to go because of water and borer damage and just plain poor design....a perfect place to capture the winter sun through large indows and a small deck would be kool too.

87 years of coal dust was collected in the ceiling and walls.....the flash from the camera couldnt penetrate the air....this was the beginning of the demolition of the back of the house...

Murray says he wanted to donate his lungs to science...but they said no thanks

demolition of the old back bedroom..bathroom and small foyer....we lost our kitchen weeks ago. We wash up in the vanity unit...It takes 15 minutes to steam veges on the small hot plates we got from the good guys...like camping ...but with waves of coal and gyprock dust...
